A small-town portal fantasy with teeth.

Beyond the fence, everything changes.

I didn’t set out to write another world-spanning fantasy.

I started with something smaller.

A man comes back to Oklahoma to bury his uncle. A piece of land no one else wants except they do. A town that hasn’t changed. And something hidden just beyond a barbed-wire fence.

Then I asked a simple question:What if the gateway to another world wasn’t in a castle, but in your backyard?

That’s where The Last Aegis began.

This series leans into something I’ve always loved but don’t see enough of—fantasy grounded in real places. Dirt roads. Rusted fences. Small towns where everyone knows your name, and your business.

But beyond that fence?

A dying world.Ancient magic.A war that didn’t end. It just followed him home.

If you’ve read my other work, you’ll recognize some of the DNA: power, danger, complicated bonds—but The Last Aegis hits differently.

The women who stand beside Kael aren’t just allies. They are warriors, survivors, and forces in their own right, bound together by something that goes beyond survival. Trust has to be earned. Loyalty is tested. And the connections he builds with them may end up mattering just as much as the war itself.

It’s more grounded. More personal. And in some ways… more dangerous.

Because this time, there’s nowhere to run.

👉 The Last Aegis is live now on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.

Filed under harem fantasy, urban magic, and steamy coven drama— the Grimoire of Lust series gives the reader more danger, heat, and power than ever.
